TASTE OF EDWARDSVILLE EVENT
EDWARDSVILLE, IL.

The children of Greg Seibert, an Edwardsville resident who suffered a spinal stroke early this year are planning a fundraiser to help their parents with mounting expenses. The Taste of Edwardsville event will take place Friday, March 13, 2009 from 7 to 10 pm at the Edwardsville Moose, and will feature the finest cuisine our town has to offer, an exciting auction and raffle and entertainment by the SMASHBAND. Tickets are $30 and include food samplings, soda and beer. They can be purchased by contacting Chad at 618-977-8937 or cmopel@yahoo.com.
Participating restaurants include: Andria’s Countryside Restaurant, Annie’s Frozen Custard, Bella Milano, Big Daddy’s, Bigelo’s Bistro, Café Aroma, A Catered Affair, Culver’s, Laurie’s Place, Los Tres Amigos, Mr. Curry’s, Red Robin, Sgt. Pepper’s Café, Wang Gang Asian Eats, and Wise Choice Coffees and More.
The event is sponsored by The Viox Agency- Farmer’s Insurance, Auffenberg Volkswagen, AAA Trailer Services, the 2008 Men’s A Slow Pitch Softball Champions and YTB.
The Greg Seibert Foundation Committee members are Chad and Kathie Opel, Ritchey and Kelly Beegle, Katie Opel, Chris and Janelle Seibert, Nick and Casey Seibert, Heath and Laura Clements and Shaun Seibert.
All proceeds from the event will benefit The Greg Seibert Foundation. Greg is currently paralyzed from the waist down, and his future is uncertain. The funds will help his family to cover medical bills, home renovations for wheelchair accessibility, and household bills accumulating due to his disability. Greg and his wife Jeanne have long been active in the Edwardsville area, and this event will really demonstrate the power and generosity of our great community.
