Mark Appling Fisher hand colors photos taken with infrared film for his nostalgic scenes along the famous highway. Fisher has worked on the project for years and has exhibited his photos throughout the country.
Beyond 66 are his vibrant photos of Carnival Chalkware, the brightly colored statuettes given as prizes for years at carnivals and fairs. He enhances the shots with colored gels and various techniques, including a pinhole camera.
Winter hours at JAC, 627 E. Broadway, Alton, are 12-4 Wednesday through Saturday.
