The Riverbend Humane Society

Founded in 2005, The Riverbend Humane Society is a non-profit organization that operates The Riverbend Animal Shelter, just south of Jerseyville, where a no-kill policy gives homeless animals a chance to live out their lives and find loving homes. The Nancy's Fancies Resale Shop and Grooming Parlor in Wood River raise funds to keep the shelter running. The Riverbend Humane Society is supported entirely by funds from the resale shop and grooming parlor, donations, adoptions, and grants.
