The JCH Foundation and the JCH Auxiliary are pleased to announce the opening of a new thrift store to benefit the Jersey Community Hospital! On January 15th 2009, the JCH Hope Chest, an UPSCALE resale shop, will be opening its doors with one-of-a-kind finds and exciting bargains. The JCH Hope Chest will be located at 203 S. State Street in Jerseyville, across from EF Carpenters where the Coops Jewelry store used to be, and will be accepting donations after the first of the year. Donations of gently-used clothing, shoes, school uniforms, coats, books, sports items, jewelry, home dcor items, antiques, and kitchen gadgets will give donors an opportunity to earn tax-deductions while supporting their community hospital. Furniture will be accepted on an approval basis only. The shop will be completely run by volunteers and all proceeds will go to the improvement of the Jersey Community Hospital and its current capital campaign, the expansion of the JCH Emergency Room. Therefore, every time you donate, volunteer, or shop at the JCH Hope Chest, you will be helping your community by raising money for the development and growth of its community hospital. Please contact the JCH Foundation office at 498-8392 if you would like to volunteer or when you find items to donate while cleaning out your closets this holiday season. Stop by after January 15th to shop the constantly changing merchandise and fabulous bargains at the JCH Hope Chest!
