Web/Graphic Designer

We are seeking a self-motivated, creative Web/Graphic Designer to join our team. Aside from design talent, we want an innovative, creative visual thinker! We want you to be an instrumental part of our team. In this position, you will not only continue to strengthen your proficiency in web, but you will be able to develop other skills in areas such as email marketing, direct mail, signage, posters, multimedia and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement websites from start to finish
• Work with Sales Representative on Advertising/Marketing Campaigns
• Must demonstrate excellent planning, organizational and project management skills
• Perform design and graphic production tasks as assigned promptly and efficiently
• Provide original thoughts and vision to design concepts and creative strategies; willingly offer and accept creative critique of designs and implement best ideas
• Handle various other design and administrative duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications

• Degree in graphic arts, web design or a design-related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Web Design
• Strong design aesthetic, creativity and the ability to produce brand-specific web graphic components under tight deadlines in a high-volume production environment
• A collaborative mindset that enables cross-functional interaction on a range of web, product or marketing initiatives
• Proficient in Photoshop and Dreamweaver and knowledge of CSS and HTML required
• Familiarity with Emerging Technologies (HTML 5, jQuery, etc.)
• Print experience a plus but not required
• SEO and Google AdWord knowledge a plus but not required
• Adobe Illustrator knowledge a plus
• Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent oral and written communication skills

VIDEO INTERNSHIP

Description
RiverBender.com is looking for a qualified intern to join our team. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of content aggregation and video creation. Although this internship is unpaid, we will work with the student and his/her school to assist the individual in receiving college credit.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating weekly segments for RB TV
• Film live sports events
• Provide support to social media efforts
• Publish videos to the web

Requirements
RiverBender.com is looking for an undergraduate student who is majoring in Mass Communication or a related field. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. Knowledge of nonlinear editing programs, various cameras, and VT is a plus.
